Matt McClelland

Having developed a love for bushwalking during scouts – the Six Foot track was one of Matt’s first overnight walks. To share this passion for the outdoors Matt developed a Wildwalks.com and also hosts the community at bushwalk.com. For this book Matt wrote the tracknotes and text and produced the maps. For the companion website Matt also had fun developing the panoramic cameras system to image the whole walk.

Caro Ryan

Caro fell in love with bushwalking during a 3 day trip to the Budawang National Park in 1994. She is now a regular trip leader for the Sydney Bush Walkers club and the Bushwalkers Wilderness Rescue Squad (http://www.bwrs.org.au), where she is currently training as a Search Manager. Some of her favourite walking areas are the Wild Dogs Mountains in the Blue Mountains National Park and Kanangra-Boyd Wilderness Area. For this project Caro helped produce the companion website and was central in the production of the series of videos to help support people undertaking this classic walk. Geoff Mallinson

Geoff was the first guy to climb all 26 peaks over 2000m in Australia in one go on foot. Loving long distance walks, especially above tree line and back country skiing, he has learned the art of packing very light. One of Geoff’s greatest joys is sharing the outdoors with his wife and four kids. In 2013 Geoff cycled with his 10 year old son(Dan) from Perth to their home on the NSW Central Coast. Dan is now the youngest person to cycle across Australia. For this project Geoff was central to the production of the companion website and as an experienced cameraman, was the man behind (and in front of) many of the camera shots.
